The Company

The present school was opened in 1972 and was built to accommodate the growing population of Wells. Central School, as it was then known when it was in Southover, was a small Victorian building, the move to the present site gave the children three playing fields, a conservation area with stream and ponds and two large areas of hard standing playground.


The Head at the time Arnold Downs, planted many native trees around the site to alleviate the problems of flooding from the local stream, hence the many mature trees on the site giving a variety of habitats for the children to enjoy.


Since then the farm area has been developed, with a flourishing Garden Club and a new Adventure playground has been installed. To celebrate the Queens Jubilee a small orchard of Plums and Apples, sponsored by parents and friends of the school was planted and have produced some good crops of apples this year.


St Cuthbert's Junior School Wells deliver challenging and inspirational experiences; pupils develop life skills for a positive future. They create the chance to wow and wonder; pupils laugh, dream and belong.

The Brief

For over a decade, St Cuthbert's Junior School has trusted Website Sorted as their website provider.  Headteacher Mrs. Helen Mullinger wanted to modernise their existing website, ensuring that it was not only device-friendly, but also equipped with useful tools to cater to the needs of prospects, parents, pupils, and staff alike. It was important that the website be easily managed by the school administration staff, and that news and information could be kept up to date through the utilisation of the Website Sorted blog platform. This strategic initiative aimed to enhance the user experience and provide a seamless platform for communication and information sharing within the school community.
