The Company

A formal partnership of two large primary schools and a one nursery school in Exeter. They are effectively one school on three sites, operated by one governing body. 


Working collectively, the schools collaborate to ensure that all pupils receive a broad curriculum, receive high quality teaching, make sustained progress and transfer to the next school ready to continue their learning journey. To support this, they are sharply focused on ensuring pupils are safeguarded and regularly attend school. From the moment children join the schools, they are part of the ‘family’, they ensure that each child makes sustained and appropriate progress and that if any barriers exist that effects this, they identify them and work to minimise the impact they have. The wider curriculum is the vehicle they use to achieve this and is designed to enable all pupils to make incremental progress; the partnership they develop between home and school is central to making these aspirations a reality for every pupil.

The Brief

ECF Schools are a new client for Website Sorted and they approached us to design and build a central portal to administer the ECF Schools Federation website and three school websites under one umbrella system. 


Key Objectives:

 

  • Modernise the website technology but also maintain a standard website presentation by applying ‘best practice’ across all schools
  • All current websites to be redesigned and converted to a responsive format 
  • All websites should offer a safe and secure online browsing environment ensuring compliance with the GDPR
  • The website editor or Content Management System should be easy to update, intuitive and offer multiple levels of user permissions
  • Avoid the use of WordPress.
